Overview:
Provide leadership and guidance to grow sales and profitability over a six (6) state region.

Responsibilities:
* Manage, direct and oversee the company’s direct sales force, division’s brand activation staff, and distributor/broker network in geographical area of responsibility. Ensure products are marketed and sold in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability, market share, and sales depletions. Continually evaluate and make appropriate adjustments to divisional sales and brand activation plans to meet changing market and sales conditions.
* Disseminate plan information down to the state level and allocate goals based on market growth, trends and priorities.
* Oversee the formulation and implementation of enhanced measurement tools to increase accountability. Identify division opportunities to capitalize on brands, distribution and market trends.
* Responsible for territorial pricing, individual pricing questions and competitive implications for the division they manage.
* Maximize the effectiveness of brand promotions. Ensure new products are introduced in accordance with brand team objectives. Maintain a close link and association with distributors and key influencers to maximize focus.
* Ensure trade channels and account types are segmented and business is aligned with brand team priority and direction.
* Manage the marketing functions and process to maximize the brand recognition and brand preference in the marketplace. Assist in the identification of market opportunities. Assess the characteristics and rapidly changing needs of current and future targeted markets and consumer groups.
* Create and enhance a uniform and consistent and segment-appropriate brand image and brand awareness, extending from media campaigns to collateral marketing materials, including customer communications.
* Maintain an infrastructure outfitted to manage new partnerships, business ventures and growth opportunities.
* Select and appoint immediate direct reports. Ensure key leaders develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of company operations.
* Foster a learning environment with emphasis on continuous growth. Facilitate the development and retention of highly competent, commercially-minded sales and brand activation personnel.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline, MBA preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of industry sales management experience and a minimum of 5 total years of leadership experience.
* Prior management and leadership experience within the CPG industry
* Superior analytical, financial and strategic planning skills
